MYA DENIES RELATIONSHIP WITH GUCCI MANE

Mya has released a statement denying a relationship with rapper Gucci Mane.

To be blunt, Mya has a rep for giving it up for tracks. That could very well be sexest since many women are often unjustly labeled. However, heads turned and eyes watered when Mya was spotted with Gucci Mane.

The two were said to be all over each other at Gucci Mane’s album release party, prompting talk that Mya has latched herself onto a rapper to get some much needed attention.

Her camp has released a statement denying such talk:

“I am offended that pictures and assertions have been levied against me without consideration for the truth and how it affects me. Gucci and I are friends and he is on one of my new songs soon to be released. That’s why I was in Atlanta this weekend – celebrating his return and recording our new collaboration. To our friends, fans, and supporters – thank you for your concern and I apologize for the inconvenience of having to deal with these bogus rumors.”

Translation: Thank you for giving us the attention we wanted.

Hajji Harrison, Mya’s manager, added: “We want all of Mya’s focus and energy to be on her new project – not on defending false accusations about her personal life. Her new CD is extremely hot and fresh. Gucci’s lyricist flow is also hot and fresh and we are pleased that he did a record with her.”

Mission accomplished.
